From the ashes, rises a beautiful new playground.

Our brand-new playground has a climbing wall, musical toys, two swings, and a double slide.

DeAnna Alonso, Glen Costales, Pamela and Andren Hendrickson, and members of Veteran's United unveiled the plaque for CMFCAA's new ADA-compliant playground.

The charred remains of the 2021 playground fire.

We are thrilled to share some incredible news with all of you - our beloved playground, which stood as a symbol of joy and togetherness for so long, has risen from the ashes! After the devastating fire in 2021 that consumed our playground, our community rallied together to rebuild, and today, we're excited to announce that the new playground is open and ready for play!

This is a momentous occasion that wouldn't have been possible without the unwavering support of our incredible community. The old playground held cherished memories; now, we can create new ones in this revitalized space. The brand-new ADA-compliant playground is located behind a safety fence at our headquarters.

The playground has been rebuilt with love, resilience, and the generous contributions of many within our community. It now stands as a testament to our strength and determination. Like the children we serve, the playground has risen from its trauma to grow and be a beacon for hope and a new future.

Big family with a big need

Victoria's a 22-year-old kinship caregiver who is taking care of six children. Getting from place to place with six children can be a hassle. Our Kinship Navigators were happy to help this family with resources and even a wagon to help cart everyone around. The children were ecstatic about their new ride.

Our team also advocated for Victoria with daycare, worked with Abundant Blessings to get beds, sent a referral to CCYP for Victoria, and provided food resources!

Children in care often need someone to be a hero — to take them in and show love and compassion they otherwise may not have had. To those who step up to foster or adopt, we do everything we can to support you. It takes a community of heroes just like you to be able to provide that support. Please consider joining our monthly giving program and being a hero for these children so often overlooked. Thank you and we look forward to the wonderful year we will have in 2023!

$12 for 12 months, monthly giving levels
