Halloween tour at the Jefferson City and Rolla offices.

We invited the daycares around Jefferson City to trick-or-treat at our Jefferson City headquarters. Staff dressed up in costume to hand out candy. There was magic, balloon animals, and lots of laughs with the children in our community. Thank you all who came out!

Touched hearts at our Mint to be Gala

Our Mint to be Gala on Tuesday was a huge success. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped us beat our $95,000 fundraising goal. We not only met our goal of raising $95,000 but we raised over $125,000! We had emotional testimonies from three local foster families that ended up adopting several of their children. The speakers were Amy Emerson, Jodi Orton, and Scott & Nikki Evans. Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe opened the ceremonies as a surprise guest. A stunning musical performance was the ambiance for a successful silent and live auction. Thank you to all the sponsors and people who made this event possible.

Full house at our Gala

Becoming more trauma informed

We were happy to host a Trauma Informed Behavioral Intervention workshop held at the Signature Event Center on Oct. 28 for child welfare professionals. This class was instructed by Allen Murray. Murray is an experienced trainer, having offered workshops on foster care, residential care, the impact of trauma, and how learning differences impact behavior in more than 30 states and with over 75 agencies. His experiences as a behavior specialist, special education director, foster care trainer and consultant to residential treatment settings give him the expertise to bring this training alive.

Walking a mile in their shoes is much easier now

We recently had a grandmother come to Michaela Pope from our Kinship Navigator department. The grandmother was struggling financially with unexpected bills and could not afford to get new shoes for her grandchildren. We provided a Shoe Carnival gift card for the family so they could rock their new kicks for the new school year.

CMFCAA Meeting with community leaders

DeAnna Alonso, Our CEO, had the pleasure of presenting on behalf of the United Way of Central Missouri at Scholastic. The 28 agencies supported by UWCEMO do so much good for our community. CMFCAA is proud to be a funded partner agency and support the 2022 campaign by sharing how our partnership changes lives.

Scholastic remains an integral part of CMFCAA's story. Thanks, Scholastic, for your selfless dedication and commitment to not only mid-Missouri children but globally as well.

We need you like Thanksgiving needs turkey!

CMFCAA has definitely hit its growth spurt! We have openings in almost every department. If you have a set of skills and a heart to help children, come join our team.
