| Do you need to get fingerprints done for your employer or for a volunteer position? Come out to our Osage Beach Office to get them done! "CMFCAA is proud to announce its partnership with IDEMIA to provide IdentiGO Identity Services such as fingerprinting for federal/state background checks! These services are provided to not only the Foster, Adoptive, and Kinship and Families we typically serve; but also to the general public! Supporting the state of Missouri, IdentiGO Centers are operated by IDEMIA, the global leader in trusted identity services. Today, the company partners with many federal, state, and local government agencies as well as businesses, covering a variety of industries that count on us for the capture and transmission of applicants' fingerprints (p. 14)." | | | | | | | CMFCAA hosted an Ice Cream Social Appreciation Event to recognize the support of our community after winning the Power Play Goals for Kids by Ameren and the Saint Louis Blues. The event was an incredible success! We want to thank everyone who came out to celebrate the win with us. We are grateful that we were able to serve over 150+ kids/families in less than two hours with beds, bedding in a bag, slip n' slides, and Old Navy gift cards. Huge thanks to Chip Webb, with Ameren MO for helping hand out hot dogs to families and hang out with us, making it a memorable experience. | | | | | | | | | This past month, AmeriCorps VISTA, Lauren Fitch, and Direct Services Resource Coordinator, Libby Beetem, set up a table at Food Truck Friday to spread awareness about CMFCAA's services and pass out Luau flyers! Although it was a chilly and windy evening, there was still a good crowd at the Miller Performing Arts Center. Keep a look out for CMFCAA staff when you attend community events! We look forward to attending more events like this to celebrate our community! | | | Would you, or someone you know, like to join the CMFCAA Team or become an AmeriCorps VISTA with us? | | | | | | | | CMFCAA received an incredible donation from the Business to Business Group of Jefferson City! We loaded almost an entire trailer full of boxes, bags of donated cloths, and items from the community. A huge thank you to each business involved in this group along with the founder of the group, Kristen R. Dreher from Shelter Insurance for pulling this all together! We appreciate our community and the support they have consistently provide. We could not serve foster, adoptive, and kinship children and families without your continued support. | | | | | | | | Direct Services Prepares for Back to School Season! Our CCYP® specialists do a wonderful job of providing the support and provisions necessary for youth to transition and thrive into adulthood. Becoming an adult can be overwhelming. Our resources help meet the most basic of needs; and we provide assistance in everything from getting a driver’s license to help with legal entanglements and learning how to live independently on a budget. | | CCYP® Client Gets a New Bike! Our Youth Programs Supervisor, David, has been working closely with a young client who needed transportation for work and school. CMFCAA was able to gift him a brand new bicycle to get him around town! We are so thankful we get to serve our community by supporting and providing for foster, adoptive, and kinship youth and families. If you know a foster youth, or former foster youth who could benefit from our CCYP® program, please look into the program and see about filling out a referral form. | | | | | | | | | CMFCAA's 30 Days to Family® program has been engaged in the community this past month! 30 Days to Family® is an intense, short-term intervention developed by the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition to increase the number of children placed with relatives when they enter the foster care system and to ensure natural and community supports are in place to promote stability for the child. The program model features two major elements: family finding and family support interventions. With the right support and quick response, our team makes sure kiddos get the help and security they need to thrive. | | | | 30 Days to Family® Supervisor attended the Rolla Chamber of Commerce Luncheon where the Ozark Actors Theatre Junior Club Performed. | | | | | 30 Days to Family® Supervisor, Tamara Fish worked with PCCAN and Phelps County Bank to deliver thank you gifts for Take a Stand Against Child Abuse. CMFCAA was also a Gold Sponsor and received a thank you gift. | | | | 30 Days to Family® partnered with Camp David of the Ozarks to provide travel size products. These products were donated and delivered to CMFCAA and then brought to Camp David for their summer camps. | | | | | | | | CMFCAA Welcomes Reece Treasure to the Board of Directors The Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association officially welcomes Reece Treasure to the Board of Directors! Congratulations, Reece! We are excited to build better outcomes for kids in hard places. Here's a little bit about Reece; "I'm a recruiter for Veterans United Home Loans, the nation's largest provider of VA home loans and recently named #33 on Fortune 100's Best Companies to Work For. Outside of work I enjoy hanging out with my pup, Luna, or hitting the gym. I'm a sucker for some 2000's throwback music or a good black bean burger! Most importantly, I enjoy meeting new people, learning about their goals and where they envision their career going, hence why I am so passionate about recruitment!" | | | | | | | CMFCAA is Proud to announce the Theme for our 13th Annual Gala and Auction | | | This year, our theme, “My Missing Piece” illustrates how important our kids are to foster, adoptive and kinship families.
