1,300+ abused children need your help in the Boone County area Want to help foster kids and have a great time doing it? Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association is excited to announce our inaugural Stomp Out Abuse spring fundraiser! It’s a fun, western-themed event from 5:30-8 p.m. on April 27 at Cooper’s Ridge in Boonville. Tickets are just $25 and can be bought at the event or in advance here. Since 2007, we’ve served families in Mid-Missouri. We’ve helped find loving homes for children, we’ve reunited families, and we’re generally a one-stop shop for foster, adoptive, and kinship families. We rely on the generous support of our community. So, for the first time, we’re holding a fundraiser near Columbia. It’s going to be a down-home good time for a great cause. Stomp Out Abuse is a country-themed event that will feature music, line dancing, whiskey/wine pulls, and a silent auction. Despite all this, a pair of miniature ponies that we’re bringing think they’re the “mane” event. Also, a country-style buffet will be served and a cash bar will be available. You’ll be grinnin’ like a possum eatin’ a sweet tater. We chose the name Stomp Out Abuse because nearly all foster children have faced abuse/neglect. Our goal is to lead them toward safety and permanency – ultimately a forever home. You can help our cause while having a rootin’-tootin’ good time! So saddle up, grab your hat and boots, and head over to Cooper’s Ridge on April 27! See ya’ll there! |
