1,300+ abused children need your help in the Boone County area

Want to help foster kids and have a great time doing it? Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association is excited to announce our inaugural Stomp Out Abuse spring fundraiser! It’s a fun, western-themed event from 5:30-8 p.m. on April 27 at Cooper’s Ridge in Boonville.

Tickets are just $25 and can be bought at the event or in advance here

Since 2007, we’ve served families in Mid-Missouri. We’ve helped find loving homes for children, we’ve reunited families, and we’re generally a one-stop shop for foster, adoptive, and kinship families.

We rely on the generous support of our community. So, for the first time, we’re holding a fundraiser near Columbia. It’s going to be a down-home good time for a great cause. Stomp Out Abuse is a country-themed event that will feature music, line dancing, whiskey/wine pulls, and a silent auction. Despite all this, a pair of miniature ponies that we’re bringing think they’re the “mane” event. Also, a country-style buffet will be served and a cash bar will be available. You’ll be grinnin’ like a possum eatin’ a sweet tater.

We chose the name Stomp Out Abuse because nearly all foster children have faced abuse/neglect. Our goal is to lead them toward safety and permanency – ultimately a forever home.

You can help our cause while having a rootin’-tootin’ good time! So saddle up, grab your hat and boots, and head over to Cooper’s Ridge on April 27! See ya’ll there!

CMFCAA serves 175 care packs

Every year we try to provide families with care packs so they can have a big holiday meal with their families. This year we were able to provide 175 families with meals for a big spring dinner!

Pre-Registration is now open for our first R.E.A.L. foster care and adoption conference! It will be held July 24-26 at the Osage Beach Margaritaville. Please visit this link to sign up.

Recently we took the children we serve on a field trip to the Saint Louis Science Center, which invites everyone to create a more connected world through the power of their curiosity. As one of few free nonprofit science museums in the country, they encourage curious minds from all backgrounds to explore, create, and share their ideas with each other.

We need you like the Easter bunny needs eggs.

With only five positions currently open, we are almost at the point of being fully staffed. If you or someone you know loves children, has a heart for others, and wants to join a like-minded group of people, apply today.

Come join our team!

Children in care often need someone to be a hero. To take them in and show love and compassion they otherwise may not have had. To those who step up to foster and adopt, we do everything we can to support you. It takes a community of heroes just like you to be able to provide that support. Please consider, joining our monthly giving program and being a hero for these children so often overlooked. Thank you and we look forward to the wonderful year we will have in 2023!
