The Extreme Family Finding team has done something amazing!

A signed gift that sings of hope

Recently our Extreme Family Finding team met with a young man, Trever. We asked him what he enjoyed doing, and without missing a beat, Trever said he loves playing the guitar. During the conversation, we asked if he could sing while he played and he admitted it was a talent he hadn’t quite mastered. He said his favorite type of music is country and his favorite country singer is Brett Eldredge.

Tim, our EFF investigator, had already reached out to a friend of his for U.S. Navy items since Trever had said that he wanted to join the military. The EFF team wanted to show support for the young man, so Jaime, the EFF Family Finder, contacted the country star’s camp in Nashville, Tennessee. She explained that this 16-year-old boy told us when he’s not in school, he spends time listening to Brett Eldredge and playing guitar to get through his days at his residential facility.

Brett Eldredge heard his story and was moved by Trever’s plight. He personally signed and donated several items to Trever. Trever was genuinely surprised and overjoyed by the gifts. Even more so it showed him he wasn’t alone and the EFF team was there to support him, help him, and cheer him on for his future successes. We are Trever’s biggest cheerleaders. He's an amazing kid, with so much potential.
